In the 60s, food and chances did not come to every person nor family. Instead, hunger, struggling, life lessons always pay the visit to the door. Despite the lack of food and support for living, families tended to have more children so as to strengthen their work force. In the year of 1965, 55 years from now, a child was born in a remote, rural area in the Yin’s family.
Childhood makes the Men today
“Love what you do. Hard works give you chances.” said Master Yin.
At the age of 10, Master Yin was sent to the craftsman’s place due to the unaffordable difficulties the family was facing. The parents gave him the words before sending him off, of which it seemed to be the forever last words.
Not all the 10-year kid can understand why the parents could leave them. Master Yin was so tough he did not let his tear come out and promised himself deep in his heart - “I shall bear the family with my hands.”
Master Yin then followed different craftsmen to learn bamboo products, carpentry and blacksmith skills. As he was in love with what he's doing and craftsmanship can make a life, he slept only four hours a day to learn and practice. He kept on working almost 20 hours a day for the next 10 years. He slept in the workshop, had plain bread for meals, sent home half of his salaries every month. With his perseverance and hardworking attitude day by day for years, destiny guided him to a once a life time opportunity. As China opened the door in the 80s, there are increasing opportunities in the Southern China, the Guangdong Province. He then moved to Guangdong. By paying visit to factories, watching interviews of entrepreneurs, and asking people from different industries, Master Yin finally set his feet on the advertising industry and had his own family.
Innovation drives the Neon Sign Future
With his great skills, he successfully created different products, such as custom neon signs for bedrooms, rooms, homes and different occasions, neon lights for businesses, luminous characters and billboards, etc. for the Hong Kong market. The custom neon sign products went very good. He then gave birth to Masha and support her to chase her dreams that he could not accomplish- the university. While Masha was busy with her studies, Master Yin continued to find solutions to make his product more environmental friendly, safe and stylish.
In the millennium, Master Yin found a flexible LED strip material (Polaris Silicone) which can improve and replace the traditional PVC materials. The new LED neon signs with quality acrylic support can be more sustainable, long-lasting, low power consumption & low voltage; and most important of all, safer, brighter and more efficient.
The products also caught the eyes of Masha. In her profession of interpretation and translation, Masha got the chances of reaching out to the world. She actively searched for similar items around the world and looked for inspirations. Right before the university graduation, Masha dared herself and proposed to his father about setting up a company mainly producing these handcraft LED neon signs targeting the western world.
Love never gets old
Master Yin has been in love of craftsmanship for his own life but he didn’t want his lovely daughter to be a craftsman as most of the fathers would have the same thought. Masha secretly set up a company in 2013. She started to design different LED neon signs, characters, figures and faces by gathering inspirations among her worldwide friends. Frequently, she brought back design drafts to Master Yin and asked if they can be created because her friends wanted them. Within half a year, she got more and more orders from friends and clients around the world.
At the birthday of Master Yin in 2013, Masha prepared the greatest gift of all time to her father. Masha showed him the company registration, website and all the comments of her clients.
